Inkhead Combat Guide: Pink Parries & Showstoppers

Learn the pink-parry rule, read the fight HUD and understand the recorded ghost challenge and Ink Beam unlock.

Boss and progression spoilers

§Separate pink targets from ordinary hazards#

The official description explicitly tells players to parry anything pink. Tick-Tock Tobias footage shows both blue and pink flying objects in the same arena. Read the colour before committing to a collision.

Practise one visible pink target during a familiar pattern. If your route takes you through an ordinary hazard, abandon the parry and keep the attempt alive. The exact parry input and timing window are not established by these frames; use the current tutorial and your platform’s controls.

§Recognize the parry challenge room#

The comprehensive recording enters a dark, curtained room with a central bell, short platforms and pink ghosts. It is a distinct challenge scene, useful for learning what pink targets look like without confusing them with the hub.

The selected frame establishes the room and targets, not its entry cost or complete unlock requirement. We have not verified an exact number of required parries, so no fixed count is prescribed here.

§The recorded reward is Ink Beam#

After the ghost-room segment, the recording displays “Showstopper I” and “Ink Beam” on an unlock card. Keep this distinction when checking your own loadout: a Showstopper unlock is separate from buying a regular shooter.

Open your current inventory after an unlock and read its instructions before entering another boss. The card shown confirms the name; this guide does not assign an unverified damage value, meter cost or invulnerability period.
